A Message from our Parent Board Chair
SGPO Chair Letter
Dear St. Gabriel family and friends,
My name is Brandon Felkins and I am the 2024-2025 Chair of the St. Gabriel Parent Organization (SGPO). On behalf of the SGPO, I would like to welcome all of you to the new school year, with a special welcome to all of our newest families. We are excited and eager to make this another successful school year!
As we enter this new school year, we are truly grateful for how hard all of the teachers, staff, and school administration are working to ensure that our children continue to receive an amazing education. We also continue to be thankful for all the parents in choosing to be part of the SG community and for all that you do to support our school.
The SGPO serves as the liaison between the Event Chairs, the parents, the school, and the parish. A primary function of the SGPO is to promote and facilitate school sponsored events for the growth and welfare of the students and parents. These events promote community building and raise meaningful funds to support school initiatives, computer labs, school grounds, equipment, and many other improvements that offer our children a top-notch education in a safe and nurturing environment.
Volunteering to support these events is not only a great way to financially support the school, but also an opportunity to connect with other SG families and the SG teachers and staff. These great events held throughout the year would not be possible without the continued support and participation of the SG parent community and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.
In the spirit of volunteering, there are only two things to remember:
-If you are unsure if an event needs your help…the answer is always YES!!!
-If you have ideas to share or want to volunteer but are unsure of who to ask, please reach out to me or any other SGPO Board Member. We will be happy to help.
SG is a unique and remarkable place and I am truly grateful for not just the excellent academic opportunities the school has offered to my children, but for teaching them to grow into responsible, respectful, and faith-filled citizens. I am truly grateful for the friendships and memories that the SG community has given me and as the 2024-2025 SGPO Chair, I look forward to serving you in the year ahead.
Warm Regards,
Brandon Felkins (Maximus 5B, Apollo 3A, Evander KA)
