Bridges
Bridges is a weekly support group for children who have experienced a life transition in the family, such as a death, divorce, or separation. Led by trained volunteer facilitators, support groups are differentiated by age group and are designed to help children understand they are not alone in their experiences. Students share concerns, journal in age-appropriate ways, play games, and draw pictures to understand and share their feelings around the challenges they face. Contact Mrs. Arceny Calacal if you think your child may benefit from our Bridges group.
Peer Tutoring
The St. Gabriel Peer Tutoring Club invites students from 8th grade to tutor younger students in grades four through six. At the beginning of the year, students who could benefit from extra academic help are matched with 8th grade mentors who excel in subject-specific areas. For more information, contact your student’s classroom/homeroom teacher.
